About

My name is Luke Pike. Since I was around 12, I’ve been interested in programming. When I was 16, I found a FIRST robotics club and started programming hardware, first with C, then in LabVIEW.

Having won 2 scholarships as a result of my experience on the robotics team, I enrolled at Indiana University - Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) in 2009 working towards a computer engineering degree.

In addition to the scholarships, I also landed a few jobs. One was a project to develop an application to test transmissions at Russ Moore Transmissions, a transmission rebuild and repair shop. Other projects followed, and I’m still working on some.

Additionally, I also got hooked on web development, first with just HTML, then with PHP. I developed custom modules for Drupal, a CMS, while working on an intranet for Russ Moore. Recently I started learning Ruby on Rails, eventually changing this site to use Rails.

Now, I work with LabVIEW and Rails, as well as dabbling in iPhone development. Who knows what the future will hold? Probably something great.
